I hope everyone's loving Autumn. I'm grateful for the turning, the cool crisp air ... summer stuck to me.

Hey Folks!

Just a note about some new developments.

My distribution company doesn't tell me any information about people who buy my records, so I'm asking anyone who bought any complete record of mine via iTunes to please email me your receipt # and I'll email you information on how to access a bonus page full of extra material. Just a little thank-you to those of you who've downloaded my stuff.

Hey everyone! I'm very excited to announce a CD release of all-new material: Los Caracoles: Improvisations for Solo Guitar & Voice, Vol. 1. I've been working on this record for many months and am really glad to finally have something tangible to show for it.

The record has 19 tracks, and comes in at a little over 42 minutes, and covers material from about 2008 to present. The album is devoted to, as the title indicates, songs that all were captured on the wing -- just me sitting down, turning on a mic, and recording whatever came out of me: humming, singing, strumming, foot-stomping, fingerpicking, warts and all. I'm a big believer in improvisation, and in the special kind of immediacy that comes from not stopping to edit or develop an instant idea. This record is my first summary of this method.

That said, not all the songs on this record are unadorned improvisations, or impromptus. Many of the songs you'll hear had their start as an off-the-cuff performance, and later were cropped, enhanced with another guitar line or backup vocal, or otherwise edited. These aren't pure impromptus, but have the original spontaneity at their kernel, and so I refer to these as "Semi-Impromptus".

The record is $6, + $2 shipping, and is available via my order page. Each CD comes in handmade packaging and comes with a bonus cd-insert-sized piece of original ink pen art. Finally, you'll also get a login and password for a web-page of bonus mp3s.

Hey everyone. So it's not an entirely new CD, but "Some Songs, Vol 1: 2001-2004" is now available for the first time on my order page.



$7 plus shipping will get you a 14-song CD sampler of some of my music dating from 2001-2004. I first put this out in 2004, and just recently re-sequenced the track order, added new songs, and changed up the cover-art. Just a little something to make available to all of you while I work on the next LP.

These songs may be older but I'm still proud of them and happy to make them available. Also, they'll be on iTunes in the next month or so.

Hey everyone. Been working on several new guitar studies, short pieces, about 1-2 minutes each. Working with my teacher, Allison Carvalho, to score them and polish up some of the rough patches, hope to share them soon.

Also in mix-down, track-select mode for a new record of instrumentals and improvisations, featuring art by Jess Hotchkiss. I hope to have this up on my order page soon, followed by iTunes availability.
